Things to keep in mind
- Install “Grab” app for online taxi booking and food delivery.
- Buy “Viettel” sim card from airport. It is best service provider especially for tourists.
- To book train tickets in Vietnam, visit their official website – https://dsvn.vn/
- Better to have an international card for payments. Because every place in Vietnam will accept card swipe transactions. Apply for a “Forex free international card”.
- Better to exchange money from your hometown before landing in Vietnam.
- Vietnam is well-known for its non-vegetarian food culture, and finding purely vegetarian options can be challenging. If you’re vegetarian, you may need to put in extra effort to locate suitable restaurants. In some places, even dishes labelled as vegetarian might contain eggs or occasionally chicken, so it’s best to double-check before ordering.
